🌎 Safety, Preservation & Sustainability Policies

To help protect this beautiful natural space and honor our local community, please float mindfully and follow these simple guidelines.

Safety, Preservation & Sustainability

This is a natural river — not a lazy river or theme park. Be alert, prepared, and respectful of the environment and nearby residents.

Respect the Outdoors
Be on time. Arrive 30–60 minutes before your reservation time. Late arrivals may not be accommodated.

Trash & Sanitation
Use designated trash and recycling bins at launch and exit points. We provide mesh bags at check-in — please return them after your float.

Parking
Park only in designated areas. Do not block driveways or emergency access. Cars in no-parking zones may be towed.

What Not to Bring

No glass — use aluminum or plastic containers only. No styrofoam — bring a soft or hard-sided cooler.

No oversized rafts — up to two-person tubes or inflatable boats allowed.

Alcohol
Public intoxication is not tolerated. Visibly intoxicated guests will not be allowed to float or board the shuttle. Be smart, be safe — float responsibly.

Respect Others
This is a family-friendly experience. Loud, aggressive, or disrespectful behavior — including foul language — is not tolerated. Please be kind, courteous, and mindful of others on and off the river.

These guidelines are for any group with participants under 18 years old.

Key Terms

  • Minor: Anyone under 18.

  • Chaperone: A responsible adult (21+) who looks after minors.

  • Group: Families, youth groups, camps, schools, or any organized gathering.

Chaperone Guidelines

  • Age: Chaperones must be 21 or older.

  • Ratios: Ages 12 & under: 1 chaperone for every 5 kids & ages 13–17: 1 chaperone for every 8 teens

  • Supervision: Chaperones stay with minors from check-in to departure, keeping an eye on transportation, the river, and entry/exit points.

  • Waivers: Please make sure all minors have signed waivers and understand the rules.

  • Emergency Contact: Provide a reliable contact number at check-in.

River Safety & Conduct

  • Life Vests: Required for all minors on the river.

  • Safe Floating: Please avoid standing on tubes, capsizing, swimming in restricted areas, or disturbing wildlife.

  • No Alcohol/Substances: Not allowed for minors. Any violations could end the float early.

  • Leave No Trace: Dispose of trash properly to help keep the river beautiful.

Check-In & Check-Out

  • Bring a valid ID and confirm the number of minors at check-in.

  • Provide a group list and check that everyone is accounted for before and after tubing.

If Rules Aren’t Followed

Safety always comes first. In rare cases, violations may result in ending the float early without a refund. We may also refuse service or contact authorities if safety is at risk.

What to Expect on the River

Floating the river is a beautiful and fun adventure, but it also comes with some physical aspects to be aware of:

  • Walk at the Exit – Getting out of the river requires a walk that can feel longer than expected after time on the water. The path has uneven ground and no handrails.

  • Getting In and Out Along the Way – Depending on water levels, you may need to step out of your tube on rocky or sometimes slippery riverbanks. Conditions can change, and some areas may feel more physically demanding.
